Job Description
As part of the development of RJIS' Head Office Financial Planning Service, we are recruiting an experienced Senior Financial Planner with strong technical knowledge to provide financial planning services to clients (introduced via Raymond James Branches) and to manage the head office planning service. This is a great opportunity for the right individual to join a welcoming, collaborative company in a hands-on role. There is no requirement for the individual to have an existing client bank.
Job Purpose:
- To provide advice on financial planning and wealth management to Private Clients, introduced via branches of Raymond James.
- Day-to-day management and oversight of the financial planning team and as a senior planner will be expected to support the team in more complex cases.
- Technical support and a 'second opinion' to financial planners within other Raymond James branches and to support the wider team on any complex or remediation cases.
- Primarily this is a desk-based role albeit some in person meetings will be required. The business mix will depend on the needs of clients that are referred from Raymond James Branches.
Key Areas of Responsibility:- Demonstrate the requisite skills expected of an experienced Financial Planner.
- Ensuring advice is delivered within the firm's advice and risk framework.
- Support in the development of advice standards and proposition development.
- Work with Raymond James Branches to establish strong working relationships and to work in partnership to provide a high-quality service and to support the delivery of good client outcomes.
- Provide financial planning advice to the clients predominantly in Pension planning (Defined Contribution), but across the spectrum including personal taxation, CGT, IHT, Trust & Estate Planning, and Assurance (Life, Health, Critical Illness), Trust & Estate Planning.
- Maintain and develop appropriate professional qualifications. If not already held, you will be expected to achieve Chartered Financial Planner status.
- Share knowledge and experience with colleagues in a collaborative manner.
- Mentor and train other team members to assist them in their professional development.
- Contribute towards the development of financial planning across the Firm.
- Maintain and promote the ethos, culture and high standards of Raymond James and act with integrity at all times.
- Comply with the Rules of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), Raymond James' related Policies and Procedures and Staff Handbook.
- Maintain SPS by complying with Company procedures and FCA Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:- Degree, or equivalent (preferred).
- CII (or equivalent) Level 6 qualified. Preferably Chartered Financial Planner status (or working towards).
- A minimum of five years' experience of delivering financial planning across all key areas of advice, under Competent Adviser Status.
- Experience of mentoring and developing others, preferably direct line management.

- Demonstrate excellent client relationship management skills, with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders to ensure the right client outcome is delivered.
