University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Financial Management Assistant within the Surgery team to help prepare management accounting information for the Trust. You will provide accurate financial and analytical support to budget holders and the team.
The role focuses on producing timely monthly statements, handling prepayments, invoicing and journals, and supporting variance analysis and budget setting.

We are looking for a highly motivated, hardworking, and focused individual who is able to provide accurate financial and analytical support within the team and to budget holders.
The job role is wide and varied and hence you must be able to manage competing demands for your time. Flexibility and adaptability are key to this role, as is a desire to learn and develop.
Your main responsibilities will be to support the production of accurate and timely monthly statements, including prepayments, invoicing and journals. Supporting the Business Unit Accountants in investigating and explaining financial variances from budgets. Assisting in the budget setting process and the maintenance of supporting information for this.
