Howett-Thorpe Recruitment Consultants Limited in Weybridge is seeking a Financial Controller to take ownership of the finance function across a group of thriving SME businesses. You will remain hands-on with the accounts while providing financial insight to support strategic decisions and you will lead, nurture and develop two members of the finance team.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with 10+ years in a finance team.
• Manufacturing sector experience and multi-company oversight.
• Hands-on with accounts and capable of leading a small team.
• Strong Excel and ERP systems proficiency.

Responsabilités

• Lead month-end, management accounts and reporting for the Board.
• Produce financial forecasts and support business planning.
• Prepare year-end figures and liaise with HMRC/auditors.
• Oversee VAT returns, deferred VAT and import duties.
• Manage purchase/sales ledgers and credit control activities.
• Develop the finance team and improve processes and reporting.
