Qualifications

• Qualified accountant or proven by-experience with 10+ years in a finance role.
• Experience in manufacturing sector.
• Experience managing a finance function and a small team.
• Strong Excel and accounting systems knowledge.
• Ability to explain financial performance clearly to the Board.
• Knowledge of R&D Tax Claims.
• Experience with VAT returns and defered VAT / import duties.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close, prepare monthly management accounts and board reports.
• Produce financial forecasts and support business planning.
• Coordinate year-end with external accountants, auditors and HMRC.
• Oversee multi-currency ledgers, journals and reconciliations.
• Manage VAT returns and R&D tax claims coordination.
• Oversee purchase and sales ledgers and credit control.
