Contract Scotland in Aberdeenshire is seeking a Senior Financial Controller to lead financial reporting, budgeting and controls for a growing construction business. You will partner with senior leadership and site teams to drive commercial performance.

You will oversee month-end, contract accounting (WIP), margin analysis, cash flow and year-end activities, ensuring robust financial systems and compliance across the organisation.

Qualificações

• Qualified professional in accounting (CA/ACCA/CIMA).
• Proven experience in a Financial Controller or Senior Finance role.
• Strong technical knowledge of management accounts, financial reporting, VAT and audit.
• Experience in contract accounting, WIP and project profitability reporting.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee divisional financial reporting, including monthly management accounts and performance analysis.
• Manage month-end processes, ensuring journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting activities, analysing financial results and investigating variances.
• Provide commercial insight into project costs, margins, WIP and contract profitability.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, customer balances and supplier payments.
• Collaborate with operational and commercial managers to identify financial risks and control costs.
• Maintain robust financial controls, accounting procedures and compliance with reporting requirements.
• Support VAT submissions, year-end processes and external audit activity.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial systems and reporting processes.
