Job summary

International Bank in Greater London is seeking a Senior Manager for Financial Control specializing in year-end reporting and statutory disclosures. The role focuses on coordinating year-end processes, ensuring compliance, and supporting external audit activities across finance, risk, IT and business functions.

You will review financial results, enhance control frameworks, and lead data-related reporting initiatives in a collaborative environment with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with IFRS background.
• Experience in external or internal audit and year-end reporting.
• Knowledge of financial control, tax and cost control.
• Understanding of data lineage.
• Experience in finance change, transformation or data enrichment projects.
• Attention to detail and numeracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and drive new processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate year-end statutory reporting deliverables and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Review annual report disclosures, statements, policies and narrative sections.
• Ensure consistency between reported financials, management commentary and analyses.
• Act as senior contact for external auditors and address queries.
• Review financial results, reconciliations and supporting schedules for accuracy.
• Support maintenance of the financial control framework and audit trails.
• Lead involvement with the Finance data lead in data warehouse initiatives.
• Participate in testing activities (UAT, regression) and post-implementation validation.
• Identify data quality issues and drive remediation and control improvements.
