Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for service delivery of our Global Payments Function and will partner with a diverse set of stakeholders within the Finance Shared Service Organization as well as the business. Some of the key expectations of the role include delivering existing services at a high degree of accuracy, timeliness, and controllership, besides supporting business growth. This role requires strong business modeling skills, keen attention to detail, and a proven track record of collaborating with diverse stakeholders.

The successful candidate will need a strong desire to innovate processes for customers (partners) and vendors. He/she will be the custodian of all GRC controls, design mechanisms for sustainable improvement, proactively audit all processes, and be instrumental in upscale the process to the next level.

Key job responsibilities

• Leading and developing a team of Payments Analysts, including training and development.
• Delivering on all goals & metrics related to business and process.
• Defining test cases.
• Coordinating with Payments Tech & Bank to resolve payment issues.
• Working with business teams to share metrics and create action plans for aged items in Payments, including proactive issue highlighting such as invoice/expense late payments.
• Collaborating with finance operations teams across locations for timely transaction processing.
• Developing, modifying, and maintaining GRC controls.
• Leading cross-functional system and process improvement initiatives, including idea generation and supporting implementation.
• Managing relationships with stakeholders such as PMOs, Accounting, Tech, Banking, and Amazon employees to ensure timely vendor payments, aligning with our "Customer Obsession" philosophy.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, information systems, finance, or equivalent.
• 10+ years of Accounts Payable (AP) experience.
• 6+ years of experience in identifying, leading, and executing process improvements in finance or business tools.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects with measurable results.
• MBA or CPA.
• Six Sigma Green Belt.
