NTT DATA is currently looking for a Senior Business Analyst - Payments, based remotely with a client site in London, for our growing team in the UK.

Role overview

As a Business Analyst and Consultant within the Banking Consulting Group, the successful candidate will engage with clients across the project lifecycle—requirements gathering, process mapping, solution architecture & design, development, UAT, and deployment. You should be a subject matter expert in the Payments domain with ideally 8-15 years of experience, having worked on large payments transformation projects. You will collaborate closely with client business/IT teams, internal development teams, and payments product vendors.

Role Responsibilities

• Interact with business owners, product teams, vendors, application owners, external and internal customers to identify requirements and deliver solutions within stipulated timelines.
• Provide content leadership in defining solutions that meet client business requirements.
• Lead high-level business and project review meetings for payments system modernization and transformation.
• Gather, analyze, and document requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Work with delivery and implementation teams to ensure domain expertise is incorporated into solutions and that delivery aligns with requirements.
• Coordinate with technical teams to clarify requirements and ensure understanding.
• Translate business requirements into detailed software specifications.

Key Skills

• Minimum 8 years of Payments experience.
• Experience working in Tier-1 IT organizations within the BFSI domain, focusing on Payments, including Low Value Payments, High Value Payments, Cross Border Payments, and related regulations such as SEPA, Faster Payments, PSD2, Account Switching, G3, etc.
• Hands-on experience with SWIFT messaging (MT 103, MT 101, MT 202, MT 202 Cov), Faster Payments, CHAPS, BACS.
• Deep understanding of the global Payments landscape, instruments (Direct Debits/Direct Credits), and key players in retail and wholesale payments.
• Expertise in messaging schemas and formats.
• Experience in solution architecture, design, and implementation of payments solutions.
• Able to act as a catalyst between business and IT teams.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead domain discussions with BFSI clients.
