As a Senior Finance Analyst, you’ll help us optimise our finances to enhance our customer experience and navigate the fast-changing business environment. This role is an opportunity to act as a key finance leader for a strategic programme and get involved with shaping our business.

Our Finance Managers take a hands-on role to boost our business performance and efficiency. You’ll collaborate with partners across our business to provide insights on operational improvements, deep dive into data, manage planning processes, and guide team members on complex cost structures. You’ll also help other EU teams access vital insights and collaborate effectively.

You’ll own and lead projects and programs, working closely with partners to inform and guide their decisions. This role is mainly based in our corporate offices but may also be in our sites with occasional remote work.

Key job responsibilities

• Build financial models to support business decisions and evaluate challenges based on Amazon’s cost structure.
• Lead projects, overseeing timelines, priorities, quality, and issue resolution.
• Generate insights from financial data, identify efficiency opportunities, and communicate findings to leadership for business actions.
• Own financial and operational planning, create scalable processes, and ensure accuracy in reporting.

Have you ever wondered how Amazon delivers products so quickly? Our Amazon Logistics (AMZL) handles last-mile delivery in partnership with third-party providers, focusing on customer experience and global delivery solutions like Amazon Fresh, Prime Now, and Amazon Restaurants.

Our ‘under the roof’ team processes millions of products for dispatch, working mostly night shifts, while our ‘on the road’ team collaborates with Amazon Flex delivery contractors. We continually innovate to improve delivery, reduce our carbon footprint, and utilize cutting-edge vehicles and technology.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field
• Experience in improving, automating, standardizing, or simplifying finance or business tools and processes
• Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) in analyses

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with cube engine tools (e.g., TM1, Cognos, Essbase), SQL, and Data warehouse
