The successful candidate will be an appropriately qualified and committed individual, with sufficient relevant financial experience, as outlined in the person specification. Spreadsheet skills and experience of electronic financial ledgers, treasury/cash book management, governance arrangements and reporting systems are fundamental to the role. The ability to balance and prioritise competing work deadlines will be critical.
The post requires good technical competence combined with the ability to communicate effectively. To help us do this we are now seeking a Senior Financial Accounting Officer within the Financial Accounting and Governance team.
The candidate will work closely with a friendly and supportive team as well as clinical and corporate colleagues to support a first-class Finance team to ensure we provide the best possible care to patients and deliver the best value for money for the people of Sheffield, South Yorkshire and beyond. Candidates must possess excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong technology skills, along with experience of treasury management and financial ledgers are fundamental to the role, as is a strong customer service focus.
