Job summary

Ultimate Banking Ltd in the Northwest of England is seeking a qualified Financial Accountant to join the Finance team and contribute to financial reporting, technical accounting, regulatory reporting, tax and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include coordinating the preparation of the Annual Report & Accounts, maintaining technical accounting assessments for loan impairment, EIR adjustments, financial instruments and hedge accounting, and supporting audits with external advisers.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Post-qualification experience in financial accounting or statutory/regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the preparation of the Annual Report & Accounts.
• Maintain technical accounting assessments across loan impairment, EIR adjustments, financial instruments and hedge accounting.
• Lead relationships with auditors and coordinate audit requirements.
• Support annual P&L and balance sheet budgeting and five-year planning.
• Prepare MI and financial insights for committees.
• Coordinate submission of corporation tax and VAT liabilities.
• Prepare regulatory returns.
• Support second- and third-line assurance and audit activities.
