Job summary

Morson Group is recruiting on behalf of an aerospace client in Wolverhampton for a Financial Accountant on a 12-month contract. The role is senior-level within the Finance team, focused on statutory reporting, IFRS compliance, and end-to-end accounting across multiple entities.

Responsibilities include overseeing four entities, coordinating group audits, tax packs, and ensuring strong internal controls. Hybrid role with on-site work three days per week.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with recognized professional qualifications.
• Experience in large, complex businesses; defence sector experience desirable.
• Proven experience preparing statutory accounts and tax packs.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and statutory reporting experience.
• Experience managing multiple legal entities.
• Auditors liaison and group audit experience; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.
• Oversee accounting activities for four legal entities with IFRS compliance.
• Produce statutory accounts and tax packs and meet deadlines.
• Support group accounting, consolidation, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Lead external and group audits and manage regulatory reporting.
• Support process improvement and control strengthening across finance.

Education

ACA / ACCA / CIMA / ICAEW or equivalent
