Senior Financial Accountant | London / Hybrid | Design & Consultancy business | £60-70,000 + bonus, benefits

Following a period of reorganisation, this dynamic PE-backed Design & Consultancy business in Central London is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant. The successful candidate will oversee the financial integrity of the business by managing financial records, preparing reports, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting financial decision-making. The role involves collaboration across teams, requiring high accuracy and attention to detail. Key responsibilities include:

1. Assist in the annual audit process, prepare documentation for auditors, and respond to inquiries.
2. Prepare statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP, coordinate with external auditors, and stay updated on accounting regulation changes.
3. Prepare monthly Group capital expenditure (CAPEX) reports, review inputs, and manage fixed asset schedules.
4. Handle head office reports, including prepayments, accruals, insurance prepayment, and payroll analysis.
5. Quarterly VAT report preparation and reconciliation for the group.
6. Compile and submit ONS statistics, ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications and Skills

You should be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA), ideally with professional services training and some industry exposure. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, statutory regulations, and systems skills (notably Microsoft Excel) are essential. Excellent analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail are required.
