Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of 11 as we reshape roles to support our goal of achieving a pre-recess production of the account. Responsibilities will be tailored based on your skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce statutory accounts and consolidation schedules adhering to standards and timelines.
• Coordinate the annual report and prepare the remuneration & staff report.
• Manage sample evidence for the year-end audit and liaise with external auditors.
• Maintain the integrity of the balance sheet with monthly reconciliations.
• Improve payroll reconciliations and support process development.
• Develop a strategic cash-forecasting model to aid long-term planning and budgeting.
• Manage cash flows in compliance with regulations and prepare monthly returns to DHSC.
• Provide technical accounting advice aligned with IFRS, FReM, and government guidance.
• Support complex technical accounting areas and process improvements.
• Undertake ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Person specification

• CCAB Qualified or finalist
• Experience in producing statutory accounts for large organizations
• Strong understanding of IFRS and relevant standards
• Proficient in financial reporting software and data analysis
• Experience with FReM and managing cash flows
