Job overview
The Senior Financial Accountant role offers diverse responsibilities, primarily focusing on reporting capital financial performance, as well as involvement in the financial management and reporting of losses and revenue. The role supports the Financial Accounting Manager in maintaining a robust financial reporting system within the UHB. Responsibilities include interpreting accounting standards, providing financial advice, leading the production of statutory annual accounts, and ensuring timely completion of monthly Welsh Government financial returns. The post also involves working with the Regional Monitoring Officer to address information requests and helping the UHB meet its statutory financial targets. Additionally, the role includes providing technical input into financial proformas, business cases, and financial planning processes.
