Description

The Senior Financial Accountant will handle financial accounting for the Group's UK operations, including:

• Managing month-end and year-end closing processes
• Reviewing and recommending modifications to accounting systems and procedures
• Managing external audits to ensure a clean audit report
• Preparing corporation tax computations and claims
• Ensuring VAT compliance
• Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies in line with SOX
• Overseeing SOX controls compliance
• Analyzing financial information and providing insights
• Performing balance sheet analysis and managing working capital
• Managing revenue recognition for customer contracts in line with standards
• Preparing UK financial statements under IFRS
• Mentoring junior team members and developing the General Ledger team
• Assessing and recommending efficient finance options
• Supporting business initiatives with financial analysis
• Providing ad-hoc reports to Group accounting and controlling teams in Europe
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory guidance and internal policies
• Documenting policies, procedures, and workflows

Profile

Successful candidates should have:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA)
• Preferred experience with SAP
• Leadership experience in managing small teams
• Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of UK tax regulations (beneficial)
• Analytical and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to work under pressure and independently
• Leadership and team development skills
• Organizational skills for managing projects and presenting outcomes
