Job summary

Bayman Atkinson Smythe is seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner – Financial Reporting in Wirral to lead the Financial Reporting, Payroll and Transactional Finance teams. The role combines reporting expertise with team leadership and active business partnering across the organisation.

You will own monthly management accounts, budgeting, statutory accounts, and external audit, while developing staff and partnering with operational leaders to drive financial understanding and performance.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with strong financial reporting, audit and management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and manage a high-performing finance team.
• Own the monthly management accounts and Board financial reporting.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Take responsibility for statutory accounts and external audit.
• Oversee payroll and purchase ledger for ~950 employees.
• Maintain strong financial controls, governance and balance sheet management.
• Drive improvements to finance systems, processes and reporting.
• Provide insight and challenge to operations to improve performance.
