Job Description

• Oversee daily operations in the Accounting & Finance department.
• Responsibility for the monthly bank accounts reconciliations
• Coordinate budgeting and business planning processes.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Complete accountability for utilising the internet banking system to process BACS and CHAPS payments to employees and suppliers
• Collaborate with other departments to achieve organisational goals.
• Making certain that every month, all inter-company fees are increased inside the Group
• Examine any payment issues and/or supplier setup mistakes that the line manager finds each month in response to the AP Forensics report.
• Participate in the development of financial strategies.
• Mentor and guide junior staff in the department.
• To provide a high standard of customer service for both internal and external customers

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Finance Officer should have:

• At least 2 years' experience of working in an Housing or Property accounting department.
• Good knowledge of double entry book-keeping
• Proficient knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards.
• Experience leading an Accounts Payable team
• Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• The ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
