Job Description:

We are working with a leading College based in Pimlico, to recruit a Senior Finance Officer on a permanent basis. The post holder will provide essential administrative and transactional support to the Finance team as well as collaborate across all departments.

Senior Finance Officer

Permanent

Hybrid (2 days wfh)

Salary: £35-40k (dependent on experience)

Location: Pimlico

Key Responsibilities:

• Handling cash receipts, ensuring accurate recording and bank balances
• Overseeing AR, AP and credit card statements as well as making journal entries in the accounting system
• Preparing mid and month end payment runs
• Gathering financial records needed for the audit process
• Preparing VAT statements for review by the Finance Manager
• Acting as a key point of contact for internal departments and external Stakeholders regarding financial matters
• Monitoring the finance inbox and dealing with staff, students, and supplier queries
• Supporting the finance team in setting up a Fixed Asset Register and making sure it remains up to date

Person Specification:

• Strong experience working in the Education sector within a finance role
• Experience using Xero
• Excellent written communication, organisational and time management skills
• The candidate must have a Child Enhanced DBS, be on the update service and have their paper copy
