Job Introduction

The Senior Finance Manager for Aggregates & Asphalt will manage the provision of regional financial information and reports as part of the regional finance team.

This role involves playing a key part in delivering financial performance through business partnering with regional teams. Responsibilities include leading month-end results reporting, business planning cycle, annual budgets, and monthly forecasts. You will support the Head of Finance by providing financial advice, insight, support, and challenge to improve overall business performance.

Main Responsibilities

Senior Finance Manager will regularly:

• Work closely with the senior management team as a business partner, supporting decision-making processes including tactical planning and decisions, with integrity and impartiality.
• Lead value chain analysis and contract margin reviews for a comprehensive understanding of customer profitability.
• Ensure the provision of accurate, timely, and SOx-compliant accounting information supporting the regional team, with adherence to controls and governance in line with company policies.
• Develop robust and accurate forecasts and budgets, presenting financial performance, full-year forecasts, and budget variances, including risks and opportunities.
• Support CAPEX schedules, including capital expenditure authorizations, project evaluations, and forecasts.
• Collaborate with business and finance colleagues to clarify and understand business performance, ensuring consistent application of accounting policies and procedures.
• Provide support to the A&A Commercial and Operations Directors and the regional senior management team.
• Build partnerships and credible relationships with senior managers and their teams, supporting commercial decision-making with financial insights.
• Mentor, coach, and develop assistant finance managers.
