Your new company
Join an established, successful business in Blackburn as they seek a Senior Finance Manager for a newly created Projects team. You will have exposure to a variety of ongoing projects within the business, whilst also being encouraged to seek out areas for improvement and supporting the wider team. This role is full-time onsite in Blackburn.
Your new role
As a Senior Finance Manager in the Projects team, you will partner with the business to provide specialist advice, identify opportunities for improvement and support the design and delivery of new accounting approaches. Your responsibilities will include contributing to broader operational plans, managing activities within your specialist area, and providing professional advice to support effective decision-making. You will also be involved in extracting complex data for management decision-making, developing and improving policies, processes, and systems, and managing stakeholder relationships. Additionally, you will represent your team on projects, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent). Proficiency in accounting software and the ability to create specific reports is essential, with knowledge of advanced tools such as Power BI being highly desirable. Excellent communication and influencing skills, along with significant experience in working with and presenting to senior stakeholders are required. Experience working in a large, complex business would be an advantage.
