Job summary

Lusona Consultancy (Group) Limited is seeking a Senior Finance Manager - FP&A & Commercial in Paisley with hybrid working (3 days in office, 2 days at home). You will own financial planning, commercial analysis and business partnering to drive profitability and strategic decisions.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will influence senior leaders, develop robust models and lead a small FP&A team in a growing manufacturing business. Competitive salary and benefits on offer.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ICAS, ACCA or CIMA).
• Proven FP&A, commercial finance or business partnering experience.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Ability to translate financial data into clear commercial insights.
• Experience leading and developing teams.
• Excellent analytical, forecasting and modelling skills.
• Experience in manufacturing/industrial sectors advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budget, forecasting and long-range planning processes.
• Drive FP&A and commercial finance activities across the business.
• Develop robust financial models, scenario planning and sensitivity analysis.
• Partner with commercial and sales teams to improve pricing, profitability and margin performance.
• Deliver insightful management reporting and performance analysis to senior leadership.
• Support investment decisions, business cases and strategic initiatives.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities and reflect them in forecasts and plans.
• Drive automation and continuous improvement across reporting, forecasting and planning processes.
• Lead and develop a small FP&A and Commercial Finance team.
• Present meaningful financial insight to senior leadership to shape strategic decisions.

Are you a qualified accountant who wants to influence business strategy rather than report on it?

We're exclusively partnering with a well-established and highly successful manufacturing business to appoint a Senior Finance Manager - FP&A & Commercial. This is a high-profile opportunity for an ambitious finance leader looking to take ownership of financial planning, commercial analysis and business partnering activities within a growing organisation.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll play a key role in helping senior leaders understand performance, improve profitability and make better commercial decisions. Sitting at the heart of the business, you'll work closely with commercial, operational and executive stakeholders, providing insight, challenge and support that drives performance and growth.

This is an ideal opportunity for a commercially focused accountant who enjoys getting into the detail, influencing decision-making and adding real value beyond the numbers.

Key Responsibilities

About You

We're keen to speak with proactive and commercially minded finance professionals who enjoy challenging the status quo and making a measurable impact.

You will ideally possess:

• Professional qualification (ICAS, ACCA or CIMA).
• Strong experience within FP&A, commercial finance or finance business partnering.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• The ability to translate complex financial information into clear commercial recommendations.
• Experience leading and developing teams.
• Strong analytical, forecasting and financial modelling capabilities.
• A track record of driving improvements in reporting, forecasting and business performance.
• Manufacturing, engineering, FMCG or product-based industry experience would be highly advantageous but is not essential.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who takes ownership, builds relationships across the business and actively seeks opportunities to improve performance rather than waiting for them to arrive.
