The role also plays a key part in finance transformation, including Oracle Fusion implementation, process standardisation, automation and AI-enabled improvement.

Lead the EMEA Financial Reporting function, acting as the senior in-region SME for financial reporting, statutory compliance, audit delivery and balance sheet governance.

Own the delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual entity and consolidated reporting, ensuring outputs are accurate, timely and well controlled.

Partner with Global Financial Reporting, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Operations, shared services, external auditors and local advisers to ensure strong financial discipline and scalable processes across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Own the EMEA month-end, quarter-end and year-end close timetable, including review cadence, issue escalation and delivery of deadlines

• Deliver accurate entity and consolidated financial reporting with clear ownership of quality and completeness

• Maintain strong balance sheet governance, including reconciliations, review controls and timely resolution of issues

Statutory accounts & audit (EMEA)

• Lead EMEA statutory audit activity and act as primary contact for external auditors across relevant jurisdictions

• Own the audit plan and timetable, coordinating the preparation and delivery of audit schedules and supporting evidence

• Own the preparation, review and filing of statutory financial statements across EMEA

• Manage a mixed model of audited and non-audited entities, including audited entities (e.g. UK, Belgium, Hungary) with full audit ownership and non-audited entities supported by in-country accountants

• Define and manage information requirements, review outputs from local accounting partners, and ensure consistency, accuracy and compliance across all entities

• Ensure all statutory reporting and filing obligations are met across EMEA in line with local regulations and deadlines

Controls & governance

• Maintain and improve the regional financial controls environment, ensuring processes are documented, evidenced and aligned to internal policy

• Track audit findings and control issues through to resolution, driving sustainable improvements

• Promote a culture of accountability, quality and audit readiness across the Financial Reporting team

• Lead, coach and develop a team of 8, building capability, accountability and succession depth

• Act as the senior in-region SME, providing clear technical and operational judgement

• Build strong relationships across global and regional teams to resolve issues, align expectations and ensure delivery of EMEA reporting requirements

Systems, transformation & improvement

• Lead finance reporting input into Oracle Fusion implementation, including process design, testing and post-go-live stabilisation

• Drive process standardisation across the region, balancing global consistency with local requirements

• Identify and deliver automation and AI-enabled improvements to enhance control, efficiency and insight

Business partnering

• Provide reporting-led insight to support performance discussions while maintaining a core focus on controllership

• Ensure complex transactions and business changes are accurately reflected in financial reporting

• Strong financial reporting and controllership experience in a multi-entity, international environment

• Proven ownership of statutory accounts, audit and close processes

• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS 102 and IFRS, with exposure to multiple local GAAPs

• Experience leading teams, ideally including managing managers

• Track record of process improvement, automation or technology-driven change

• Strong controls mindset and ability to operate in a matrixed multinational environment

What success looks like

• A disciplined, well-managed close and reporting cycle across EMEA

• High-quality statutory accounts and smooth audit delivery

• Stronger, scalable controls and clear ownership
