Job summary

Proclinical Staffing is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to oversee finance operations across Europe and APAC. This leadership role partners with senior stakeholders, develops a high-performing team, and shapes the financial performance of a global life sciences business.

The role reports to the Global Head of Finance and focuses on strategic financial leadership, monthly close, governance, and cross-border compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience leading finance teams and managing multiple entities.
• Strong knowledge of management accounting, statutory reporting, and controls.
• Experience supporting European and APAC entities.
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills; able to present to senior stakeholders.
• Power BI or similar reporting tools experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop EU and APAC finance team.
• Oversee monthly management accounts and board reporting.
• Partner with Country Managers and senior leadership.
• Forecasting, budgeting, cash flow planning.

Lead Finance Across Multiple International Markets

Reporting directly to the Global Head of Finance, you'll provide financial leadership across multiple international entities while helping drive commercial decision-making, operational excellence, and continued business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, coach, and develop the EU and APAC finance team


• Create a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement


• Monitor team performance and ensure timely delivery of key financial outputs


• Support succession planning and professional development initiatives


• Oversee the preparation and review of monthly management accounts


• Deliver insightful analysis on financial performance against budget and forecast


• Ensure strong control over balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, payroll, commissions, fixed assets, and intercompany balances


• Produce and review board reporting and management presentations

Commercial Finance & Business Partnering

• Partner with Country Managers and senior leadership teams


• Provide meaningful analysis and recommendations that influence business decisions


• Support forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow planning
  
• Identify key commercial trends and performance drivers across the business

Compliance & Audit

• Oversee statutory reporting, VAT, tax, payroll, and compliance activities across multiple jurisdictions


• Coordinate annual audits and manage relationships with external advisers and local finance providers


• Ensure all regulatory and filing obligations are completed accurately and on time

Operational Excellence

• Oversee sales ledger, accounts payable, payroll, expenses, bonuses, and commission processes


• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance operations


• Standardise financial processes and strengthen internal controls


• Lead ad hoc finance projects and business initiatives

Essential Experience & Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), or a finalist with strong relevant experience


• Previous experience in a Finance Manager or similar leadership role


• Experience supporting multiple legal entities and international operations


• Strong knowledge of management accounting, financial controls, and statutory reporting


• Strong budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and variance analysis skills


• Advanced Excel capability and strong analytical skills


• Ability to communicate complex financial information to senior stakeholders


• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities


• Recruitment, staffing, professional services, or similar industry experience
  
• Experience supporting European and APAC entities
  
• Knowledge of Great Plains, Bullhorn, RSM InTime, or similar systems
  
• Experience using Power BI or other reporting and visualisation tools
