Job summary

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a Senior Finance Manager in Coventry. The role is a development opportunity for a self-motivated individual to extend skills within a different clinical area.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Finance & Contracting, you will provide financial business partnering to support the Learning Disabilities & Autism Directorate, lead planning and reporting, and drive costing improvements.

Senior Finance Manager

With the permanent postholder seconded into a more senior post, we are pleased to be able to offer this development opportunity for a self-motivated individual wishing to extend their skills and/or work in a different clinical area.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Finance & Contracting, you will provide high-quality financial business partnering to help our Learning Disabilities & Autism Directorate make the best use of their available budget and so support the delivery of high-quality clinical care.You'll lead financial planning, monthly reporting, cost improvement planning and support the adoption of service line and patient-level costing.

Qualifications

• Professional Accountancy Qualifications or level 7 equivalent, (e.g. CCAB / CIMA Qualified)
• Committed to personal development

Knowledge

• Knowledge of NHS Financial regime and current issues
• Proficient in the use of excel spread sheets and other Microsoft packages
• Project Management
• Effective presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to communicate in written and verbal media with all levels of staff communication skills
• Negotiation and influencing skills - able to resolve conflicts

Experience

• Working to and achieving deadlines
• Experience in costing
• Previous experience of staff management
