Job summary

Point Professional Recruitment LTD is assisting a large organisation in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, to recruit a Finance Lead for a full-time, temporary role. The position offers 37 hours per week and a salary of £28.40 per hour (£56,595 FTE).

The role combines technical finance expertise with business insight, influencing senior stakeholders and driving improvements across reporting, systems and processes.

Qualifications

• Qualified finance professional (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) or equivalent experience — essential
• Proven experience in financial consolidation, planning, forecasting and reporting — essential
• Strong variance and cost analysis skills — essential
• Experience influencing and engaging senior stakeholders effectively
• Strong commercial and business acumen
• Good working knowledge of financial reporting and analysis tools such as Power BI, SAP or similar — essential

Responsibilities

• Support and improve financial systems and processes to drive accuracy and efficiency
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting and data management across the function
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver financial insights that support business decisions
• Maintain compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards
• Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency across financial workflows
• Manage workflows and support system improvements in line with business needs
• Provide technical finance expertise and support to stakeholders across the organisation
