Job Description:

As Senior Finance Business Partner, you’ll lead the team responsible for the coordination, design, and storytelling of Nationwide’s stress testing scenarios. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that Nationwide meets its internal and external stress testing requirements, including ICAAP Pillar 2B scenarios, PRA’s Bank Capital Stress Test (BCST), Recovery Plan scenarios, and the Reverse Stress Test.

You will build strong relationships across Nationwide and Virgin Money to undertake end-to-end stress testing processes, using your analytical skills to draw conclusions and document insights for Stress Testing Committee and Board Risk Committee, enabling them to understand the financial implications of risks materializing. Relevant documents will also be submitted to regulators.

Nationwide offers hybrid working arrangements, supporting collaboration and flexibility. You will spend at least two days per week, or 40% of your time if part-time, based at our Swindon or London office. Further details will be provided upon application.

Responsibilities:
  • Leading, motivating, and developing the Business Partner team while managing workload effectively;
  • Collaborating with the Income and Balance Sheet Modelling Centre of Excellence, business partnering team, and Treasury to understand stressed financial forecasts;
  • Enhancing stress testing scenario reporting for Nationwide and the Group;
  • Communicating impacts and insights of stress scenarios to senior stakeholders, including the Stress Testing Committee;
  • Maintaining stress testing frameworks and policies for Nationwide.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Accounting qualification or equivalent with significant post-qualification experience;
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders;
  • Experience in producing clear committee papers;
  • Strong understanding of banking income and balance sheet dynamics;
  • Proactive workload and project management skills;
  • Drive to enhance stress testing insights;
  • Experience working in controlled environments.
