Are you an experienced senior finance & accounting professional who enjoys building strong relationships, whilst still being very much hands on with accounting? We’re currently looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner on a fixed term basis, initially for 6 months, to provide an effective accounting service for our Asset Management and Property Care teams, challenging and supporting them to achieve their business objectives.

As a vital member of our Business Partnering team, you’ll work closely with Directors, Senior Managers, and budget holders by being at the heart of supporting our Property teams with budget management, financial forecasting, and performance analysis.

By building strong relationships and offering clear, insightful advice, you’ll help colleagues make confident, informed decisions. Your input will challenge thinking in a constructive way and play a key part in shaping the strategy that helps us deliver for our customers and communities.

Qualifications
  • Qualified or QBE accountant with significant experience in a senior finance role.
  • Demonstrable management accounting experience in a large, complex organisation with substantial budgets – ideally within housing, asset management or maintenance.
  • Strong track record in management accounts, month‑end, analysis and review of variances, forecasting, budget holder meetings, supporting with commentary for budgets.
  • Experience of working within a business‑partnering role and partnering operational managers.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, challenge, and build credible relationships at all levels.
  • Commercially minded with exceptional analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Advanced Excel user and familiar with financial systems, ideally within large, complex organisations.
  • Passionate about social purpose with a drive to make housing fairer, more affordable, and sustainable.

While this role offers the flexibility of being home‑based, occasional travel to Group offices and other locations, including Birmingham Business Park, Solihull, and Central Park, Worcester, is essential.
