Role profile

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance Analyst to join our dynamic Finance Team. As Osborne Clarke embarks on an exciting period of change with the imminent move to a new practice management system (PMS), we are looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to help design and develop insightful Management Information reports, as well as contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes within the FP&A team.

The successful candidate will enjoy a collaborative role working with Practice Groups, Service Lines, and Customer Relationship teams. This role is based out of our new central Bristol office in Finzel's Reach with the option for some homeworking.

Key responsibilities

This is an exceptional opportunity that offers a diverse range of responsibilities and scope for professional growth. Given the significant tasks both prior to and after the launch of the new PMS, the key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the FP&A Manager with Board-level reporting and support to the CFO.
• Contributing to the budget, planning, and forecast process and month-end close, including implementation of a new budgeting system.
• Assisting in financial year-end preparation and reporting, including collation of presentations and data for management meetings.
• Rebuilding management information and board reporting: supporting requirements gathering and designing dashboards (PowerBI).
• Managing the production of regular reporting with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Assessing work with the FP&A manager to define the long-term reporting strategy.
• Preparing financials for annual surveys, involving collaboration with other business services teams such as HR, Risk & Compliance, IT, etc.
• Data validation within the new PMS.
• Liaising with the International Finance teams and sharing best practices regarding standardized reporting and processes.
• Providing ad hoc analysis and support, client reporting, and project involvement as required.

We are looking for someone with:

• Experience of using and building dashboards in PowerBI.
• Excellent numeracy and problem-solving skills.
• Excel data modelling and data manipulation skills.
• Professional accountancy qualification, or currently studying towards the qualification.
• An eye for design and understanding of presenting finance information to non-finance professionals.
• Experience of working in a professional services environment.
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience communicating to senior stakeholders.
• Self-motivated and able to work within a team and on own initiative.
