Qualifications

Senior Finance Analyst RTR

Contract Type: 12 month Fixed term contract (maternity cover)
Location: Gatwick - 3 days a week

DHL, an award-winning, leading supply chain business, is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst RTR to play a vital role within our Finance function, performing all accounting processes for their respective operation.

Our team of Finance specialists do more than just crunch numbers; they add value by understanding data deeply and helping teams make informed, commercial decisions.

What does the role entail?
  • Perform accounting processes such as month-end, reconciliations (e.g., Open Book Recs, Payroll Recs, Revenue BS Rec), fixed assets accounting, etc., across various sites, customers, or functions.
  • Manage open book equalizations.
  • Engage regularly with site operations teams, Reporting team, BU FCs, and shared services to ensure accurate inputs and outputs for processes.
  • Develop deep business knowledge of the customer/sites to support decision-making.
  • Maintain period-end and year-end closing schedules.
  • Adhere to finance processes and produce accurate, timely reports.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives.
  • Provide updates to the Reporting Manager on process status, issues, and escalations.
  • Deliver processes according to KPI requirements and support performance management.
  • Support change programs.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and ensure compliance with all standard accounting procedures.
  • Manage workflow to meet deadlines.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks and other operational activities as required by the Controller or Manager.
What do we need from you?
  • Knowledge of financial compliance and reporting standards.
  • 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in logistics or a similar industry.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud is preferred.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Flexible and resilient attitude.
