Job summary

Lloyd's Register International in Kemble is seeking a Project Officer to lead the archaeological direction and site management on larger fieldwork sites. You will ensure the quality of recording and understanding while delivering projects to time and budget.

Reporting to the Senior Project Officer, you will line-manage staff, monitor progress, and maintain health and safety standards. A driving licence and fieldwork reporting experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising large fieldwork projects and managing teams.
• Ability to write clear fieldwork reports and summaries.
• Strong communication and staff development skills.
• Full manual driving licence with willingness to drive company vehicles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Lead fieldwork direction and site management on large projects.
• Ensure delivery to time, budget, quality, and safety standards.
• Line manage staff and oversee training and performance reviews.
• Authors in-progress field reports and archives.
• Liaise with clients, Local Government and contractors.
