Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a driven Area Sales Manager to own a defined Scotland territory, including Moray, Aberdeenshire, Aberdeen City, Perth and Kinross, Angus, Dundee, and Fife. You will drive new business, manage renewals, and build a robust sales pipeline, with support from commercial and engineering teams.

A strong technical mindset and field-based experience are essential. The role offers OTE up to £50,000, a company car and fuel card, enhanced pension, and life assurance,

Qualifications

• Must have experience in a field-based sales role and generate new business from scratch.
• Strong technical mindset to understand and communicate technical information.
• Experience selling technical products or solutions is advantageous.
• Technical qualification or experience in technical/engineering/industrial environment would be beneficial.
• Background in fuels, energy systems, waste, plumbing, construction, asphalt or industrial sectors would be advantageous.
• Confident discussing system requirements, technical specs and site applications.
• Able to read and understand site drawings or technical plans.
• Highly organised, commercially aware and comfortable managing own territory.
• Competitive and target-driven.
• Confident communicator with relationship-building and negotiation skills.
• Comfortable working autonomously in field and taking ownership of results.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business sales across your territory
• Manage and re-contract existing accounts at renewal
• Proactively prospect for new opportunities and develop a strong sales pipeline
• Attend customer meetings, site visits and relevant industry events
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key decision-makers
• Monitor competitor activity and changes within the market
• Deliver against agreed KPIs, including volume, margin, profit and lead conversion
• Engage with engineers, facilities managers, operational leaders and senior decision-makers to understand their requirements
• Work closely with customers to understand their operational and technical requirements and determine what is technically viable for their site
• Work alongside internal engineering and operational teams to provide the right solution for each customer
