FOLIO in London is seeking a senior interior designer with strong FF&E expertise to lead high-end private residential interiors for a design-led practice. You will oversee the interiors from concept through installation, coordinate with consultants and makers, and manage sourcing, budgeting and specifications.

You will also present designs to clients, build strong supplier networks, and lead projects independently while working closely with directors.

Formación

An FF&E-focused Senior Interior Designer is sought to lead high-end residential interiors for a design-led architecture and interiors practice.

Position:

This is a rare opportunity for a Senior Interior Designer with strong FF&E expertise to join a respected London practice at an exciting stage of growth. You will play a key part in expanding the studio’s interiors offer, taking projects beyond the architecture and through to the final furnishing and styling of each home.

Working closely with the directors, you will lead the interiors on high-end private residential projects from early concept through to installation. The role covers furniture selection and sourcing, specification, bespoke joinery, materials and budgets. You will also coordinate with consultants, contractors and makers, and be a trusted point of contact for clients throughout.

Candidate:

• At least 5 years’ experience in a well-regarded interior design or architecture practice, ideally on high-end private residential projects
• A degree in interior design, interior architecture or architecture
• A refined portfolio showing completed projects and strong technical ability
• Confident working independently and leading FF&E from end to end, from early concept and sourcing through to installation
• An established network of suppliers, makers and craftspeople you can bring to the studio
• Thorough FF&E knowledge, including specification, supplier relationships and budget control
• Procurement experience is highly desirable
• A real appreciation of furniture, fabrics, lighting, natural materials and specialist finishes
• A good understanding of joinery, detailing and construction, with hands-on site experience
• Strong hand-sketching skills, with the ability to communicate design ideas, bespoke pieces and details quickly by hand
• Confident with Adobe CS; experience with 3D modelling software is a plus
• Highly organised, able to balance several projects without letting design quality slip
• Polished, discreet and confident when presenting to clients

Studio:

This growing London practice works on high-end homes, and its recently refurbished studio is a calm, creative place to work. The team is small and friendly, and the design process is genuinely collaborative. Each home is designed around the people who live in it.

The role is full-time and studio-based, five days a week. You’ll get a generous holiday allowance, a company pension and a salary based on experience.
