Job summary

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate cross-functional work, and optimize performance, incident response, and automation. This role supports a hybrid work model in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience leading design of scalable, resilient systems and architectures.
• Proven track record of acting as a technical leader within a team.
• Deployment automation, monitoring, incident resolution, and cost optimization experience.
• Experience with multi-channel environments (voice, email, chat, etc.).
• Mentoring junior engineers and coordinating work across teams.
• Strong analytical and data analysis skills to balance objectives.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical leadership within the team and owning architecture, configuration framework, and complex changes for SaaS contact center platforms such as Zendesk and Five9.
• Designing scalable, secure, and resilient systems and integrations aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Leading cross-functional problem solving and coordinating resources across teams.
• Mentoring and coaching junior engineers to raise the technical bar.
• Improving system performance, incident resolution processes, and cost optimization.
• Owning deployment automation and modular development practices; building integrations via APIs.
• Monitoring performance, ensuring availability, and leading root-cause analysis of incidents.
• Supporting and optimizing contact center channels and workflows across markets.
• Maintaining operating procedures, documentation, and QA standards for platform administration.
