Buckinghamshire Council is seeking a Senior Family Support Worker to lead complex child and family work across Buckinghamshire. You will manage risk, build strong relationships, and coordinate safeguarding with multi‑agency partners in community settings.

The role requires a degree-level qualification (Level 4) and a track record of working with vulnerable children and families. You will mentor colleagues, support training, and contribute to service improvement in a locality-based model.

Qualifications

• Experience working with vulnerable children, young people and families across public, private, or voluntary sectors.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent with a Level 4 qualification.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to influence, motivate and advocate effectively.
• Collaborative approach with internal and external partners to deliver cohesive support.
• Resilient and reflective, able to navigate challenging situations with empathy.
• Organised and autonomous, able to manage workload and records independently.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for regular travel.

Responsabilités

• Manage a caseload of families facing complex challenges and conduct thorough assessments.
• Coordinate support networks and safeguarding efforts in multi-agency settings.
• Lead or co-lead team around the child meetings and provide guidance to colleagues.
• Mentor and develop Family Support Workers and contribute to training.
• Ensure a whole-family approach and advocate for the voice of every family member.
