Job summary

TSR Legal is seeking a Senior Family Solicitor for its Private Family Law team across Midlands offices. You will handle privately funded cases with autonomy and play a key role in developing the department and business relationships.

The role suits a lawyer with at least five years PQE in private family law, capable of advising on complex matters and delivering excellent client service. Mentoring and business development experience would be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with at least five years' post-qualification experience in private family law.
• Strong technical knowledge and the ability to handle matters independently.
• Experience in mentoring colleagues and developing business would be advantageous.

TSR Legal is delighted to be working with a well-established law firm that is looking to strengthen its Family team with the appointment of an experienced solicitor.

This opportunity would suit a lawyer who enjoys working with privately funded clients and is looking to take the next step within a supportive, ambitious team. The role offers a varied and interesting caseload, genuine autonomy, and the opportunity to play a key part in the continued development of the department.

You'll advise clients through some of life's most significant milestones, providing pragmatic, commercially minded advice on divorce, financial arrangements, cohabitation issues, separation agreements and wealth protection. Much of the work involves complex financial matters, requiring a confident and strategic approach alongside exceptional client care.

Beyond managing your own caseload, you'll be encouraged to build lasting relationships with clients and professional contacts, helping to generate new business and further strengthen the firm's reputation across the region. There is also scope to mentor less experienced colleagues and contribute to the ongoing success of a collaborative and friendly team.

The successful candidate will be a qualified solicitor with at least five years' post-qualification experience in private family law and a strong background in advising privately paying clients. You'll be technically strong, commercially aware and comfortable handling matters independently while delivering an excellent client experience. Lawyers with an existing professional network or experience of business development would be particularly well suited to this opportunity.
