Are you an experienced Family Solicitor with around 4+ years’ PQE looking for your next career move?

We are working with a well-established Birmingham law firm that is looking to strengthen its Family team with the appointment of a talented privately funded Family Solicitor.

This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor who enjoys working closely with clients, handling high-quality work and building lasting client relationships within a supportive and forward-thinking team.

The Role

You will handle a varied caseload of privately funded family matters, acting for clients across a range of often complex and sensitive circumstances.

• Divorce and separation
• Financial remedy matters
• Private children work
• Cohabitation and separation agreements
• Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
• Complex matrimonial finance
• High-value and higher-net-worth family matters
• Domestic abuse-related matters where appropriate

You will have the opportunity to take ownership of your caseload, develop strong client relationships and play an important role in the continued growth of the Family team.

About You

We are looking for a Family Solicitor with around 4+ years’ PQE who has solid experience of privately funded work.

You will ideally have:

• Strong technical knowledge across private family law
• Experience managing your own caseload from instruction through to conclusion
• Excellent client care and communication skills
• The ability to deal confidently with sensitive and complex issues
• A commercial and pragmatic approach
• A genuine interest in developing your career within Family
• The ability to build and maintain strong client relationships

Business development experience would be advantageous, particularly for someone who is keen to develop their own profile and play an active role in growing the department.
