Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is seeking an Advanced Practitioner - Family Safeguarding to deliver statutory social work services for children and families within a local authority. The role involves managing complex safeguarding caseloads, conducting assessments, and developing care plans in line with regulatory requirements.

The post requires substantial post-qualification experience in Children's Social Care, registration with Social Work England, and an enhanced DBS with barred list.

Qualifications

• Significant post-qualification experience in Children's Social Care.
• Experience in safeguarding investigations, assessments and care planning.
• Proven ability to manage complex child protection, child in need and court-related cases.
• CPD evidence and ongoing professional development.
• Registration with Social Work England.
• Enhanced DBS with barred list.
• Ability to work within a bi-weekly payment schedule.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied and complex caseload involving children, young people and families in need of safeguarding and statutory intervention.
• Conduct thorough assessments of children's needs, parenting capabilities and family situations.
• Develop, implement, monitor and review care plans and interventions focused on the child's needs.
• Effectively assess and manage risks, making informed, evidence-based decisions to safeguard children.
• Prepare and present evidence for child protection conferences, legal planning meetings and court proceedings as necessary.
• Produce high-quality assessments, reports, statements and court documents within required deadlines.
