Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel Limited is seeking an Advanced Social Work Practitioner for the Family Safeguarding Team in Telford and Wrekin. The role offers £38 per hour for a 37-hour week, initially 3 months with potential extension, and locum flexibility to gain varied experience.

The post requires qualified social work registration, experience with safeguarding and care planning for children, and strong communication with families and multi-agency partners.

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker/Senior Social Worker with professional registration.
• Experience working with children and families, including safeguarding, assessment and care planning.
• Ability to manage complex caseloads with evidence-based decisions.
• Strong knowledge of legislation, policies, and frameworks in children’s social care.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse and complex caseload, undertaking assessments, care planning, and interventions.
• Assess and manage risk, making informed, evidence-based decisions, and contributing to safeguarding and court proceedings.
• Apply legislation, policies, and best practices to deliver effective, child-focused services.
• Build strong, effective relationships with children, families, and multi-agency partners.
• Use a range of interventions and review outcomes, adapting plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and produce high-quality reports, including court documentation.
• Undertake preventative work to reduce risk and support families.
• Contribute to multi-agency working and continuous service improvement.
