Job summary

Grainger plc, the UK’s largest listed residential landlord and a leader in build-to-rent, seeks a Facilities Manager to oversee a North of England portfolio. You will ensure Health & Safety, Fire Safety and Building Safety compliance, oversee maintenance, budgets and customer outcomes, and lead a small FM team to uphold Grainger’s high standards.

• Directly manage a dedicated portfolio of residential properties in the North of England.
• Lead a small FM team and set high standards across properties.
• Support and train onsite teams and deliver resident engagement where required.
• Support the Head of Facilities Management and Building Safety in delivering a consistent Grainger service.
• Set and maintain high standards for facilities, health, safety and environmental management.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a dedicated portfolio of residential properties across the North of England.
• Take responsibility for statutory compliance, planned and reactive maintenance, building performance, contractors, lifecycle planning, budgets and customer outcomes.
• Lead a small FM team and ensure equivalent standards across allocated properties.
• Support onsite teams and deliver building-specific resident engagement as required.
• Support the Head of Facilities Management and Building Safety in delivering a consistent service aligned with Grainger’s values.
• Set and maintain high standards for facilities, health, safety and environmental management across the portfolio and team.
• Take direct responsibility for statutory maintenance, PPM, reactive maintenance and compliance actions.
• Ensure team members deliver equivalent standards through objectives, reviews and assurance.
• Undertake weekly visits to each estate/property to review compliance, condition, records and service delivery.
• Undertake quarterly assurance visits to estates/properties managed by team members.
