Job summary

Albion Recruitment is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead the design function across multiple façade remediation projects. You will collaborate with the Pre-Construction Director to ensure technical excellence, compliance, and seamless coordination from concept through to handover.

With a strong background in façades and building safety, you will manage internal designers and external consultants, drive design development across nationwide schemes, and support pre-construction

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Design Manager in the façades / cladding remediation sector
• Strong technical understanding of façade systems and building safety / BSR processes
• Stable career background within the façades industry
• Confident managing multiple stakeholders, projects, and design outputs
• A hands-on, solutions-focused approach with strong leadership capability

Responsibilities

• Full management of the design process and BSR Gateway requirements across multiple projects
• Leading and coordinating the internal design team and external consultants, including structural engineers
• Overseeing design development from concept, pre-construction, and detailed design through to handover
• Ensuring all designs meet current building safety regulations, compliance standards, and buildability requirements
• Working across multiple projects nationwide at various stages of delivery
• Supporting pre-construction activities, tenders, and technical submissions
