Job summary

Cornerstone Project Source is seeking a Senior Façade/Cladding Designer for a permanent role in South East London. The position blends office work, remote time and regular site attendance, producing cladding construction, installation and setting-out drawings on UK projects.

You will have at least 5 years UK experience in cladding design, strong AutoCAD 2D skills, and a portfolio of representative drawings.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Construction, Architecture or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' UK experience in cladding design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D, PDF editing, MS Office and Outlook.
• Experience with 3D AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit and Bluebeam is advantageous.
• Portfolio of representative cladding design drawings required.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed cladding construction and installation drawings.
• Prepare elevations, plans, fire barrier details and site investigation drawings.
• Produce accurate panel and sub-grid setting-out drawings.
• Prepare material take-offs and coordinate with commercial team.
• Carry out site surveys and inspections with records.
• Attend design meetings with clients, architects, engineers, and others.
• Liaise with manufacturers for technical specifications and calculations.
• Coordinate design information with project stakeholders.
• Maintain project documentation, drawing registers and logs.
• Prepare and issue technical submissions and updated drawings.
• Participate in internal design coordination meetings.
• Undertake CPD and technical training.
