Job summary

Cornerstone Project Source is recruiting a Senior Façade/Cladding Designer for a hybrid role in the South East London area. You will produce detailed cladding drawings, elevations, and installation plans, and coordinate with clients, engineers and the commercial team.

The position requires a degree-level qualification and at least 5 years of UK cladding design experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D, PDF editing, and Office tools is essential; 3D AutoCAD/SketchUp/Revit skills are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Construction, Architecture or a related discipline; equivalent experience also considered.
• Minimum 5 years' UK experience in cladding design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D, PDF editing and Microsoft Office; good knowledge of fire barriers and membranes.
• Experience with 3D AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit and Bluebeam is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed cladding construction and installation drawings.
• Prepare elevations, plans, fire barrier details and site investigation drawings.
• Produce accurate panel and sub-grid setting-out drawings.
• Prepare material take-offs and coordinate quantities with the commercial team.
• Carry out site surveys and inspections with photographic records.
• Attend design and progress meetings with clients, architects, engineers and Building Control.
• Coordinate design information with client representatives and site teams.
• Maintain project drawing registers, RFIs and revision logs.
• Issue technical submissions and updated drawings to clients and project teams.
