Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim UK is seeking an experienced External Reporting Accountant to join the FACT team. The role covers external reporting, transfer pricing, and Voluntary Scheme reporting, acting as a key financial partner to designated functions and as Deputy to the External Reporting Manager.

Qualifications

• Degree-level education or equivalent.
• Fully qualified ACA/CA/ACCA with post-qualification experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax, and Voluntary Scheme regulations.

Responsibilities

• Identify financial issues and trends; provide insight and solutions.
• Lead preparation of UK and Ireland statutory accounts and German GAAP accounts.
• Manage external audit process and liaise with Group Auditors.
• Support Voluntary Scheme reporting and related audits.
• Contribute to Sub Pricing and Pricing Committees; liaise with DoH as needed.
• Review transfer pricing policies and documentations with Tax Manager.
• Analyze income statements by segment and support budgeting/forecasts.
• Conduct monthly/quarterly reviews and ensure accurate business commentary.
• Advise management on financial implications of projects and reporting needs.
• Act as Deputy for External Reporting Manager and share best practices.
