Placements24 seeks a Senior Exploration Geologist to join a fully remote team and drive global oil and gas exploration initiatives. You will leverage seismic data, well logs, and regional geology to identify targets and guide exploration portfolios.

The role requires a track record of successful discoveries, strong communication, and the ability to collaborate with international teams in a remote setting, contributing to strategic exploration decisions.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Geology, Geophysics, or related Earth Science discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in oil and gas exploration, with focus on basin analysis and prospect generation.
• Proven track record of successful exploration discoveries or significant contributions to exploration campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate hydrocarbon provinces and play concepts globally.
• Integrate seismic, well logs, core data, and regional geological information.
• Develop geological models for exploration targets.
• Conduct prospectivity assessments and risk analyses.
• Collaborate with remote exploration teams including geophysicists and reservoir engineers.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for exploration portfolio management.
