Job summary

GKN Aerospace in Birmingham, GB is seeking a Senior Engineer to drive the EWIS Functional Design workstream. You will execute functional design for electrical wiring interconnect systems, analyze requirements, conduct trade-offs and design wire harnesses and interconnections for aircraft programs.

You will collaborate with international teams, system suppliers and customers, report progress, manage scope and configuration, and contribute to tooling improvements with a Centre of Competence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Aerospace industry.
• Proven experience working in a multi-disciplinary international engineering environment.
• Proficiency with Electrical design software (Aerospace applications).
• Proficiency in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio.
• Fluent Dutch and English in speech and writing.

Responsibilities

• Execute the functional design of EWIS and related interconnections.
• Conduct design requirements analysis and trade-off studies.
• Design wire harnesses and interconnections, prepare technical reports and contribute to tool improvements.
