Job summary

Showsec is looking for an Operations Supervisor to manage live events across the Bournemouth and Southampton area. You will lead a casual workforce, deliver inductions, and coordinate security operations to ensure safety and client satisfaction.

You will report to the Area Manager, complete the Management Development Programme (MDP), develop your team, and contribute to incident response, documentation and budget monitoring. SIA licence and UK work rights are required.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK.
• Maths GCSE or equivalent (C or above).
• English GCSE or equivalent (C or above).
• SIA Licence – Door Supervisor.
• Experience in security operations and client management.

Responsibilities

• Lead provision of high‑quality operations at events by managing casual staff.
• Deliver inductions, briefings, coaching and debriefings for casual workers.
• Lead security operations to meet client expectations and safety standards.
• Plan and coordinate incident responses for specific events.
• Monitor expenses, document processes and manage the security budget.
• Record documentation, risk assessments and incident reports accurately.
• Develop work schedules and monitor personnel performance.
• Maintain relationships with clients and area manager, providing updates.
