Guidepoint in London seeks a senior European credit analyst with 7+ years of sell-side or buy-side experience to produce actionable insights for buy-side clients. You will monitor single-name corporate credit within Europe, conduct bottoms-up research, and moderate expert teleconferences.

Overview:

The Insights product is an offering for Guidepoint's Institutional investment and corporate clients, that offers teleconferences, surveys, and in-person events. The teleconferences live in a transcript library portal, which covers a wide of industries/topics that enables our clients to make informed decisions. All content features experts from Guidepoint’s proprietary global network and is conceptualized and hosted by former investment professionals (i.e. private equity/hedge fund), sell-side equity research analysts, and industry professionals.

All applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

What You'll Do:

• Monitor single name corporate credit situations in European markets including new issues, distressed, restructuring/re-orgs, and price dislocations in both leveraged loan and high yield markets. Create original, sell-side type content on these topics
• Conduct bottoms-up company research including reviewing earnings releases, reading investor presentations and analyzing regulatory filings
• Moderate teleconferences on timely topics featuring an expert from Guidepoint’s network with the goal of producing actionable insights for buy-side clients
• Generate ideas and follow key investor views among relevant strategies within European credit
• Can be an in-person position or a fully remote work-from-home position

What You Have:

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree
• 7 years or more of sell-side or buy-side analyst experience
• Follow a bottoms-up, fundamental approach to investment research focusing on individual companies
• Has prior experience covering single name corporate credit across both bank loan and high yield markets with a European focus; must be proficient in corporate credit analysis, with an emphasis on either loan / High Yield or Distressed strategies
• Ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
• Outgoing personality with the ability to speak with people at all professional levels
• Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to work both individually and as part of a team
