Job summary

BP plc in London seeks a Senior Enterprise Technology Engineer to lead development and support of EUC applications for the Oil Trading Front Office. You will collaborate with traders and analysts to automate workflows, build pricing tools, and extend Excel-based solutions using C# and VBA.

The role requires deep Excel expertise, strong SQL Server skills, and experience with Power BI. A hybrid work model and opportunities to explore AI-driven approaches are offered.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel 365, incl. VBA and dynamic array formulas.
• Strong SQL Server knowledge including database design and stored procedures.
• Experience with OO programming (C#, Java, Python) and modern tooling.
• Experience with Power BI and Power Query, 5+ years, including M language queries.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support EUC applications and processes for the Oil Trading Front Office.
• Work directly with Traders/Analysts/Middle Office on short-to-long term tasks.
• Improve front office workflows and data sharing through automation.
• Build trader pricing tools and real-time multi-user solutions with controls.
• Develop Excel customizations (C# VSTO, Excel DNA) and teach best practices.
