Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our Commercial team in the UK. You will own the tendering process from receipt to submission, ensuring competitive, commercially viable bids aligned with project requirements.

You will work with operational teams, clients, subcontractors and suppliers, leading a small estimating group and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices. Travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Estimator in construction, civil engineering or utilities.
• Track record of successful tenders and profitable projects.
• Experience leading or mentoring an estimating team.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and costs.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs and tender docs.

Responsibilities

• Manage full tender preparation from receipt to adjudication and submission.
• Interpret technical, commercial, operational and contractual requirements.
• Undertake quantity take-offs from drawings and BIM/CAD models.
• Build up rates for labour, plant and materials from first principles.
• Prepare subcontractor enquiries and review quotations.
• Ensure tender deliverables are accurate and timely.
• Identify and communicate commercial risks and issues.
• Lead and mentor estimating team members.
• Maintain awareness of legislation, standards and best practices.
